This policy explains what stripkin.com (the "Site") stores in your browser during our pre-launch waitlist phase. The short version: we set no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies, and there is nothing here that follows you anywhere.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site asks your browser to keep. "Similar technologies" covers local storage, session storage and tracking pixels, which do comparable jobs by different means. Either can be strictly necessary, meaning the site cannot work without them, or non-essential, meaning things like analytics, personalisation and advertising.

That is the whole list. Under UK and EU rules, strictly necessary storage of this kind does not require consent, which is why you are not being shown a banner.
3. Analytics, without cookies
We measure how many people read a page and how many join the waitlist, using PostHog. It is configured to keep its state in memory only: no cookie is written, no identifier persists after you close the tab, and nothing is shared with other sites.
The trade is worth stating plainly, because it is a choice rather than an accident. It means we cannot tell a returning reader from a new one, so our own numbers are rougher than they would otherwise be. We would rather have rougher numbers than a tracking cookie on a site whose entire pitch is that your diary is private.
4. What we do not use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind.
- Cross-site tracking, third-party marketing pixels, and data brokers.
- Session recording, heatmaps and mouse tracking. Session recording is switched off explicitly, not merely unused.
- Fingerprinting, or any other technique for recognising you without storage.
5. Managing what your browser keeps
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data, usually under privacy or site settings. Because everything above is strictly necessary, blocking it may stop parts of the Site working, including the waitlist form. Nothing you block will affect what we know about you, since we are not collecting it in the first place.
6. If this changes
If we ever introduce storage that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before setting it, in the places the law requires, and this page will be updated before that happens rather than after. The most likely occasion is the product launching, when signed-in accounts will need a session cookie.
